We operate our own offices in the Balearic Islands (Palma, Mahón and Ibiza), Barcelona, Tarragona and Alicante, plus Miami and Hong Kong — with further Spanish offices opening soon. A ship agent represents the vessel and her owner in port, acting as their operational presence on shore and the central link between the ship, authorities, terminals and local suppliers.
The agent handles pre-arrival declarations, berth arrangements and clearance, while coordinating everything she needs alongside — from stevedores, bunkering and provisions to technical services, waste collection and crew movements — through to her final departure.
But the role goes far beyond paperwork. The agent anticipates risks, turns regulations into workable solutions and, when plans change, acts quickly to solve problems and protect the owner’s interests. Behind every smooth port call is a ship agent making it happen.

What does a ship agent do in Spain?
A ship agent represents the vessel and her owner in port. In practice that means filing the pre-arrival declarations with the port authority and customs, booking the berth, clearing her on arrival, and coordinating everything she needs alongside — stevedores, bunkers, provisions, waste collection, technical services and crew movements — then closing the call when she sails.
Which ports in Spain and the Balearic Islands do you cover?
We operate our own offices in Palma de Mallorca, Mahón and Ibiza in the Balearic Islands, plus Barcelona, Tarragona, Alicante, Miami and Hong Kong. Beyond those, we cover port calls at the ports where we operate in Spain, Italy, Morocco, France and Japan.
Can you handle a cruise ship call in Palma or Barcelona?
Yes. Cruise calls are a core part of our port agency work in both Palma de Mallorca and Barcelona, from pre-arrival documentation and berth booking through to passenger and crew formalities, provisioning, waste collection and departure clearance.
Do you organise crew changes and husbandry services?
Yes. Visas and immigration formalities, transfers, hotel booking, medical assistance and fresh provisions are handled in-house as part of our husbandry services in Spain.
Which vessel types do you work with?
Cruise ships, ferries, tankers, bulk carriers, fishing vessels, oil rigs, scientific vessels, tugs and navy ships. Each type brings its own documentation and its own port authority requirements, and we hold over thirty years of experience across all of them.
Do you handle MARPOL waste collection?
Yes. We coordinate waste collection under MARPOL Annexes I, IV and V as part of the port call, together with the authorised local receptors.
